Ninety-nine percent of what you see on our benches started as a seed, cutting, or plug in one of our five Waterford greenhouses.
Season one
Spring in the Greenhouses
Greenhouses open May 1
We grow annuals, perennials, vegetable plants, and herbs, plus a deep selection of hanging baskets, hanging bags, and flowering containers built for sun, shade, or part sun.
We grow Proven Winner varieties and other breeders that perform as well or better. Tell us where the pot is going and how much sun it gets, and we will point you at the plants that will still look good in August.

Annuals
Color from May until frost. Geraniums, petunias, begonias, zinnias, and more, in packs and pots.

Perennials
Plant once, get it back every year. Good bones for a bed you do not want to redo each spring.

Herbs
Kitchen herbs ready to go straight into a pot by the back door.

Vegetable plants
Started here, so they are already used to Wisconsin. Skip six weeks of seed starting.

Hanging baskets
Full baskets grown on for months before they hit the bench. Sun, shade, and part sun.

A lighter, softer alternative to a basket for porches, hooks, and shepherd's crooks.

Ready-planted pots you can carry out and set down. Done in one trip.

We grow Proven Winners and other breeders that perform as well or better. Bred to keep going through a Midwest summer.
Waterford opens May 1. The Muskego stand opens by Mother's Day weekend, sometimes sooner depending on the weather.

Fall in the Greenhouses
Mums, when they are ready
Mums are a colorful and beautiful addition to any yard as the weather changes and the leaves begin to fall.
We grow a variety of single-color and multi-color mums, in both containers and hanging baskets. They go out at the Waterford greenhouse and travel with us to the Brookfield Farmers Market in September and October.
If we are not staffing the greenhouse, there is a cash box set up. Take what you need and leave what you owe. That is how it has worked here for years.

Christmas in the Greenhouses
Open November 5 – December 15
Pre-made and custom evergreen containers, hanging baskets, and wreaths, made daily from November through early December.
During the first week of November, after frost has appeared in Upper Michigan, we make the long drive several times over to buy fresh-cut boughs straight from the tree farm. That is why our containers and wreaths still look good through Christmas and past it.

Evergreen hanging baskets
Winter color on the same hooks that held your summer basket.

Wreaths
Made daily with fresh-cut boughs, not boughs that have been sitting since October.

Loose fresh boughs if you would rather build your own.

Christmas container classes run on multiple dates in November and December. Private parties are available.
